  1. Yes, F.P. Woll & Company stocks a full range of "standard" packaging materials. A partial list includes "stock" corrugated boxes, packing peanuts, tape, bubble wrap (commercial and mil-spec), thin grade polyethylene roll stock, Microfoam® polypropylene roll stock, polyurethane plank stock, toolbox foam, EPS and many other common packaging materials. We carry a broad range of shipping room supplies for your organization.

  2. Packaging materials foams are sometimes color-coded to serve different purposes. For example, pink is anti-static. Oftentimes, charcoal colored or black foam is used to help camouflage any dirt or wear over long term use. Some foam is even multi-colored, like our toolbox foams.
     
  3. If your product is breakable or fragile, unusual in size or dimensions, or contains sensitive electronic components, you should look into protective packaging materials. This helps ensure your product gets to market in pristine condition. Even if your product is considered durable, a smart, cost-effective design can help it get there quickly, and in the shape it was in when it left your facility. From large items that may require custom crating, to the smallest items that may only require a simple mailer; F.P. Woll & Company provides turnkey design, engineering, custom tooling and fabrication on premises, so you receive your packaging solution quickly.
  4. Yes, F.P. Woll & Company provides many different ESD (aka anti-static) shielding solutions including barrier bags, ESD films and foils. Ask us for a description of some of the possibilities, and click here to view a product list.
     
  5. To start, you can measure the length, width and height of your product to obtain the dimensions needed for your packaging materials. We'll also need a weight. It's helpful to know how you plan on shipping your product as well: UPS, Air Freight, common carrier, etc. The type of product and any particular needs it might have is also important. For example, ESD shielding requirements. F.P. Woll & Company can then work with you to recommend the optimal packaging solution to meet your objectives. We stand ready to assist you at any stage of your design or production process..

  6. F. P. Woll & Company can work with you to set a realistic schedule for producing your packaging materials. We can provide packaging design and engineering at the same time your product is being developed. By contacting us early in the process we can keep you informed of what is needed when so that everything comes together on your schedule. That being said, the fact that we produce all stages of our custom packaging in house; design, tooling, sampling, production, delivery; allows us to provide fast turnaround at any stage of your process. And as we stock many common shipping supplies, we can quickly get you items like stock boxes and bubble wrap.
     
  7. Yes, F.P. Woll & Company produces samples of new packaging, and in most cases the cost of producing this sample can be credited against the final order.

     
  8. Because we are a custom manufacturer, F.P. Woll has no "minimum" required order for most products. We will work with you on small runs or large orders.

  9. Once we have had a chance to get the full range of specifications from you, price quotations can typically be generated for you the same day you make the request. Custom solutions may take a bit longer, but the fact that we do all phases of design under one roof lets us turn quotes around in an expeditious manner.
